Who We Are

Although House to Home Improvements Inc. is still a relatively new name , the history behind this small workforce is not. This entity spans over 3 generations of construction experience.

        Stephanie “The Gardener”

           Ahh.. I don’t think so…

This Energetic Supermom of two is 3rd generation and on her 5th year working with this team. But Ladies and Gentlemen, please don’t let that pretty smile fool you! She is the right arm of H2H and extremely efficient with today’s latest tools.

When she is first on site, only carrying a slammer bar and a 10 pound persuasion hammer, her diverse background holding a major in demolition and directional drilling show’s it’s presence immediately and catches most off guard.

Whether it’s drywalling, tiling , flooring , trimming or the final application, she has a fine eye for detail in customization and staging for both commercial and residential projects.

At the end of the day she always leaves the customer smiling. As an added bonus, she is actually a professional gardener and will assist the homeowner in new endeavors they may want for their homes.

                          Katlyne

            “The Showstopper”

At H2H we never say how we're going to do it better. We say how we are going to do it differently. But once we took on Katlyne we stretched that formula to a whole new level.

This All Star is our “Scene” behind the screen office administrator and after only a few years her list of accolades is immense. However, it didn’t start off this way. Her background of construction actually stemmed from Home Depot. With only her mandatory work boots combined with her designer tracks her natural ability was to put most runway models to shame, but here at H2H our first goal was to teach her how to build the runway!

The whole situation started over the natural blonde joke, when Katlyne was challenged to put in the kitchen sink. She picked up the basin wrench and with a little guidance  just went at it. Folks, NO-ONE SAW THAT COMING!!! Today she does everything whether it be painting, drywall mudding , flooring, and yes even a few kitchen sinks as well . She prides herself on completing what she starts, and in this case she got the last laugh.

Unfortunately today Social Media has become a necessary evil in business.

However none of this team is interweb friendly with the exception of Katlyne.

She saw a huge opportunity here to self promote herself into the company’s main communications liaison and acquisitions manager.  It may be in the background , but she shines like a diamond to us.

Big John  “The Entertainer”

John is 1st Generation and an all star mentor to Matt. Although he claims to be retired, you will still often see him on the worksite.  John’s background is a licensed electrician for 44 years and spent the last 35 in general contracting.  He has handled everything from large skyscrapers to small backyard tool sheds and has nearly a story of experience on everything.  Don’t ask about the skunk in the trunk!

Big John is the son of Methuselah…  Okay not really! But when we work on extremely older homes, where we require his expert opinion , his explanation usually reverts to a reference in that time.  John is old school English and from the days when knob and tube wiring were the standard.  As far as he is concerned they still are!.  We often need an English to English translation book (English to Canadian) to decipher what he is saying.

John is a big asset of knowledge and wealth and above all if anything at least he will keep you entertained!

Matt  “The Different Hat”

Matt is 2nd Generation in this team. His background started as an Automated controls technician for Johnson Controls. Later he joined Cancom Satellite Communications and at the same time worked as a trades proxy for contractors.

Although he is first to buy the latest  technology tools on the market, he still considers himself old school as well.

As a previous trades proxy to over 40 different contractors over the past 25 years has given him experiences in many different venues all with various

techniques allowing him to take advantage of picking the best method available

pending the situation currently at hand.

Matt continuously keeps updated with the technologies. The schooling today may not be delivered in a classroom , but that doesn’t stop him from attending.

With the latest in our business , he is trained by Schluter and certified by them for their waterproofing systems.

Yes he operates differently than others, but the end goal is still the same for him and being able to give to the customer diversity is his primary goal.
